The clip, shared on Twitter, shows a bear, named Vali, eating and calmly walking around the pond. Meanwhile, a crow is flapping its wings in the water, trying to escape drowning.

Upon noticing the bird’s distress, Vali pulls the crow out of the pond by the leg and uses its mouth to hold the bird’s wings. In a matter of seconds, the bear drags the crow and places it on the ground. The bear then walks away and goes back to eating while the crow tries to stand up.

“The images by Aleksander Medveš show Vali, a bear from the Budapest zoo, saving a drowning crow”, says the caption shared along with the clip.

Since being published last Friday (28), the video has received over 4.6 million views, in addition to more than 25 thousand likes and hundreds of comments from internet users who were impressed with the scene.

“That crow will never forget what that bear did for it,” said a Twitter user. “More humane than most,” another commented.

“It’s always amazing to see a predator save the life of its prey. Of course, the predator probably wouldn’t have if it were hungry and ate the prey, but this implies that only hunger makes them kill the prey, otherwise, they are happy to save their lives if they can,” wrote a third internet user.
